The Adérita Amor Foundation is a museum-like institution with cultural, artistic, educational, scientific, social, and philanthropic aims.
Main objectives:
1. To represent, preserve, disseminate and promote the intellectual and artistic work of Adérita Amor, in the present and in the future;
2. To support other authors by organizing exhibitions and listening sessions of their work.
The Foundation created the artist's club with the aim of publishing and promoting the art of contemporary artists, and to ensure that the great Portuguese artists who distinguished themselves in previous decades or who have already passed away and about whom very little is said are not forgotten.
3. To educate and teach the public in the approach and perception of visual arts, through Cultural Dynamization programs, which seek to deepen knowledge about the human being, revealing their subjective side;
4. To defend and promote , through educational programs, respect for difference, intercultural dialogue, and racial solidarity, aiming to contribute to PEACE in the World;
5. To provide a scientific basis for investigation , in the areas of Psychology and Neuroscience, into the process of artistic creativity (production of an educational FILM on the same topic);
6. To civilize youth through recreational programs with an educational purpose, introducing them to SOCIAL RULES and the concept of ETHICS;
7. Collaborate in combating school dropout and failure by referring children to the appropriate support sector after they have been diagnosed medically and psychologically.
ADÉRITA AMÔR

Adérita Amôr was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1951.
From a very early age, she showed a multifaceted sensitivity that led her to develop an interest in many different fields of knowledge. She completed several courses, among which Basic Psychology and her degree in Artistic Studies — Arts and Heritage were the most significant to her.
Deeply interested in modern artistic expression and museology, she has been a corresponding member of the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1979, which had a major impact on her development.
In the 1960s, she was a student of the distinguished Visual Education teacher Catarina Augusta Durão Severo, an experience that was of great importance to her.
She soon developed a very distinctive technique and style in the visual arts, revealing her most intrinsic abilities.
Since 1968, her work has been selected for several art salons.
She held her first solo exhibition in 1975 at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon and, since then, has continued to hold individual exhibitions of her work.
She is the author of several books and various cultural development projects.
In 2006, she decided to create the Adérita Amôr Foundation — In Service of the Sciences of Art, Creativity, Awareness and Peace — of which she is President.
